Sales Representative John Stieg,
after completing his MBA at Drake University in Des Moines, IA, started
in the consumer hardware industry in 1975, working as an independent sales
representative in the Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky markets. At the beginning
of 1984, he became associated with the Hager Hinge Company, primarily
selling the consumer line of products in Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.
His mentor at Hager, Bill Rogalski, soon taught him the architectural
end of the business and together they built their territory into one of
the largest for Hager. Then in 1992, John formed his own agency to represent
other manufacturers in addition to Hager. John actively supports both
DHI and CSI and has served as the "Hinge Instructor" at the
local chapter DHI School. John has also served on the Magazine Editorial
Board for Doors and Hardware Magazine.
